3 reasons Morgan Fox will be a big hit on the Carolina Panthers
By Dean Jones
Morgan Fox is a player on the rise
There is a lot to like about the fact Morgan Fox has risen from an undrafted prospect out of Colorado State-Pueblo to become a prominent starter in the NFL. He has made the most out of every opportunity that’s come his way and it’s evident this is a player who is only going to get better with more responsibility on his shoulders.
This is something the Carolina Panthers are keen to give him.
Fox played a career-high 39 percent of the Los Angeles Rams’ defensive snaps in 2020, which resulted in some exceptional numbers that made it surprising his former employer didn’t make more of an effort to keep him around.
Fox recorded six sacks, 27 tackles, eight tackles for loss, nine quarterback hits, one forced fumble, two passes defended, and 13 pressures during the 2020 campaign, which was the best of his career by a considerable margin. The defensive lineman did not record a single missed tackle and gained a respectable 60.3 grade from Pro Football Focus for his efforts.
He is sure to get a tremendous amount of confidence from this. Carolina will be expecting Fox to make a lasting difference from the word go and providing he slots in seamlessly to the defensive scheme, then it would be a big surprise if the player didn’t thrive in a new environment.
