3 potential trade offers for Panthers to land the No. 2 overall pick

Carolina Panthers trade offer No. 2
Team owner David Tepper is clearly bordering on desperate when it comes to getting a marquee quarterback that can turnaround the fortunes of the franchise. The billionaire has sacrificed a significant amount from a financial perspective since buying the Carolina Panthers from Jerry Richardson and although he’s been relatively patient so far, that will not be the case for much longer.
Tepper has some ambitious plans off the field to progress the organization, which includes moving the Panthers to their incredible new headquarters in Rock Hill and may even include a state-of-the-art stadium somewhere down the line. He will want a team that is legitimately contending for a Super Bowl by the time these proposals come to fruition and getting a quarterback would make all the difference in this pursuit.
Giving up five picks over the next three years might seem steep. But considering what Carolina was reportedly willing to sacrifice to potentially acquire Deshaun Watson, this isn’t as far-fetched as one may believe.
Again, whether the New York Jets are willing to give up the chance of selecting No. 2 entering the NFL this year for a bounty of selections is questionable. But Tepper is a man who normally gets what he wants no matter what the cost.
