Which 2021 NFL Draft prospects with boom-or-bust potential might the Carolina Panthers gamble on when they’re on the clock later this month?

We are now less than a month away from finding out which direction the Carolina Panthers will go in the 2021 NFL Draft. The decisions made by the organization in the near future have the potential to completely shift the landscape, with most of the speculation centering on whether the team will find themselves an upgrade on quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to boost their chances.

Whether the Panthers will be able to do this is another matter entirely. The San Francisco 49ers showed their hand early with a big move up to No. 3, which means they’ll get the first shot at their signal-caller of choice after Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are off the board.

Carolina Panthers might be stuck with Teddy Bridgewater in 2021.

If another NFL team gets twitchy and does a deal with the Atlanta Falcons, then Carolina might be forced to settle for boosting other areas and perhaps even giving Bridgewater another shot with more in the way of quality around him.

This isn’t what fans wanted. But the likelihood of this scenario playing out is getting more realistic with every passing day.

It was pretty hard to lose against the Washington Football Team in Week 16 with Dwayne Haskins under center. Carolina went scoreless in the second half and still managed the victory, which has caused some complications in the long-run as expected.

There is just no telling which way the Panthers will go as this will be Scott Fitterer’s first draft class since being appointed general manager. Here are four boom-or-bust prospects he might be willing to gamble on in 2021.
