Trai Turner – OG

There were no real winners from the Trai Turner-Russell Okung trade, although the Carolina Panthers did save themselves some significant financial resources by making the move. The Pro Bowler was cut loose by the Los Angeles Chargers earlier this offseason and considering the player is still only 27-years-old, it seems odd that a team looking for interior protection help hasn’t taken an interest in a potential short-term arrangement.

Turner has regressed over the last couple of years. He also dealt with some injury problems during his only season in Los Angeles, so considering how deep this draft class is expected to be for offensive linemen, the veteran might be outside looking in for a while yet.

Josh Norman – CB

Things haven’t gone according to plan for Josh Norman since leaving the Carolina Panthers following their memorable 2015 season. The talented cornerback cashed in with a big-money move to the Washington Football Team, where he never reached the same heights once financial security was assured.

His time with the Buffalo Bills was more profitable. But Norman is approaching the age where players at the position tend to start deteriorating and this makes it difficult for another team to take him on with any sort of confidence.

That’s not to say Norman couldn’t still be of use somewhere. But it won’t be in anything like the sort of role he’s enjoyed playing in throughout his career.
