Baltimore Ravens

This might be a little out of left-field. But the Baltimore Ravens have nothing in the way of reliable depth behind Lamar Jackson and considering how physical the quarterback approaches every play, a better contingency plan needs to be sought if the former first-round pick is forced to miss any time through injury.

Make no mistake, there would be absolutely no quarterback controversy should Bridgewater end up in Baltimore. Jackson is one of the NFL’s most electrifying players at the position and could earn some megabucks in the not-too-distant future despite some complications getting things done in the postseason.

Bridgewater would be settling for a backup role with the Ravens. But in all honesty, the chances of him getting another starting chance next season now appears slim.

Acquiring an experienced individual such as Bridgewater would provide Jackson with a strong support system and give the Ravens a solid option to call upon if their prized possession was sitting on the sidelines at any stage.

Some alterations would need to be made from a play-calling perspective if Bridgewater was under center. However, there is no doubt he represents a significant upgrade on Trace McSorley or Tyler Huntley on their depth chart.
