Omar Bayless – Carolina Panthers WR

Even though Omar Bayless is entering his second season as part of the Carolina Panthers, a serious knee injury prevented the wide receiver from seeing any action in 2020. This was a major blow for the undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State, who was arguably the biggest surprise during training camp that saw him in contention for a notable role in the passing game.

This was an unfortunate turn of events for Bayless, who was one of college football’s most prolific wideouts in 2019. However, it says a lot about how much the Panthers think of him that they didn’t cast him aside and hopefully, this faith can be repaid by the player when he returns to full health.

Bayless is back on the field and working on his game during individual workouts with a view to hitting the ground running during OTAs and camp.

This is a source of great excitement for everyone associated with the organization and there might be a chance for a big role with Curtis Samuel no longer on the roster after signing for the Washington Football Team in free agency.

Carolina did bring in David Moore from the Seattle Seahawks and also decided to keep around both Brandon Zylstra and Keith Kirkwood. However, Bayless has more upside than most, and providing there are no further complications, big things could be in the player’s future.
