Caleb Farley – Virginia Tech

There is a lot to like about the skills Caleb Farley brings to the table. The Virginia Tech standout made the smoothest of transitions to cornerback after playing both quarterback and wide receiver earlier in his career, so the prospect could just be scratching the surface of what he is truly capable of.

Farley is all the athleticism needed to make a real go of things at the next level. He has enough length to cope in press coverage, has the necessary speed to go down the field with opposing wideouts, and also possesses natural instincts that enable him to react quickly when the ball is in the air.

Some obvious red flags have emerged regarding Farley’s health, which cannot be ignored when one considers how high he could go in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the prospect received some encouraging news during recent medical assessments that simply couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

The Carolina Panthers will take a good look at Farley, of that there is little doubt.

He could end up being the best cornerback in the draft and certainly one with the highest ceiling. So even though this now seems like a bit of a reach if the organization stands firm at No. 8, there are far worse options to consider.
