Paulson Adebo – Stanford

If the Carolina Panthers are looking for a little more bang for their buck when targeting their next college cornerback, the Paulson Adebo is a prospect that should enter their thoughts. His athleticism is absolutely outstanding and although he does appear limited to being just an outside corner, it’s not like Phil Snow’s unit doesn’t need this sort of assistance.

Adebo’s talents are scheme friendly to either cover in man or zone. He has an eye-catching burst to gain ground if he gets beat at any stage and possesses the sort of football IQ that sees plays develop efficiently.

The Stanford product has a tremendous amount going to be a big success in the NFL. This is providing there isn’t too much in the way of pressure put on him right away.

Adebo’s technique is not as refined as someone like Patrick Surtain. But that doesn’t mean he cannot emerge into a starting-caliber cornerback with a little more refinement.

His ball identification in contested catch situations is matched by exceptional hand-eye coordination that makes him a difficult proposition to overcome. Adebo approaches every down in a professional manner that should fit in well on the Carolina Panthers if they went down this route and he would get two solid veteran support systems in Donte Jackson and A.J. Bouye to help enormously.
