4 Panthers players who could be traded for more draft picks

Will Grier – Carolina Panthers QB
There are still some who believe that Will Grier could be a useful quarterback in the NFL. His career with the Carolina Panthers hasn’t gotten off to the best of starts, with little involvement even as a backup in 2020 following Matt Rhule’s preference to use his former Temple signal-caller P.J. Walker as Teddy Bridgewater’s understudy, for the most part.
Grier was thrown to the lions in two starts as a rookie in front of a pathetic offensive line that saw him sacked six times and throw four interceptions along the way. The West Virginia product is clearly working hard to turn his situation around in Carolina, but the acquisition of Sam Darnold only puts him further down the pecking order.
Other teams might see this as an opportunity to make an offer for Grier if they think they can turn his career around. This was a gunslinger with plenty of potential entering the league before the Panthers took him in the third round. But as is the case with Greg Little, this coaching staff has no attachment to the player as they weren’t responsible for bringing him to the organization.
This is reflected by the presence of Walker as the No. 2 more often than not. So if a reasonable offer comes in for the signal-caller, the Panthers might decide to cut their losses where Grier is concerned and draft a mid-round prospect with more upside.
