Pat Stewart – Director of Player Personnel

The Carolina Panthers brought in experienced scout Pat Stewart as their new director of player personnel last year, which was a shrewd move considering his success both with the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. He has accumulated a wide range of scouting experience when it comes to incoming college recruits, which has seen the front office member become a notable spectator at various pro days across the country in recent months.

Much like Taylor Rajack, the final decision won’t be Stewart’s. But that’s not to say his opinion won’t be one of the most respected in Carolina’s draft room.

Stewart boasts two Super Bowl rings from his time with the Patriots, where he was a keen ally of Bill Belichick’s during the draft process. This resulted in a move to become a national scout at the Eagles before a deserved promotion with the Panthers, so there is a lot to like about how he could impact what sort of prospects join the organization later this month.

Carolina didn’t bring Stewart to the franchise last year for him to play a minimal role in the all-important draft process. At the very least, this is another experienced figure who has been around hugely successful teams in the past.
