Carolina Panthers trade No. 4

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Arizona Cardinals would not be moving up for a quarterback. Kyler Murray looks more than capable of getting the team where they want to go in 2021 and some big-time signings in free agency indicate they are all in on making a deep postseason run right now.

However, if the Cardinals want to move up and get one of the elite wide receivers from a deep 2021 NFL Draft class, then the Carolina Panthers represent a good spot to be in to ensure they don’t miss out. Someone like Ja’Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, or DeVonta Smith alongside All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins would be a devastating combination and something that might get Arizona over the hump in an incredibly tough NFC West division.

Whether the Cardinals want to do this or not is up for debate.

As stated previously, this appears to be another outstanding crop of college recruits at the position. So they might opt to keep their picks and go with someone a little lower down the pecking order such as Rashod Bateman, Kadarius Toney, or Terrace Marshall Jr.

The temptation to get Murray another exceptional wideout is there for all to see. But the Panthers might not be able to get as much from a team that isn’t targeting a signal-caller.
