Which free agents could the Carolina Panthers potentially target following a hugely successful 2021 NFL Draft?

As far as NFL drafts go, things couldn’t have gone much smoother for the Carolina Panthers and their new general manager Scott Fitterer. The team brought in 11 different college prospects and even got themselves a fourth-rounder in 2022, which is what the organization is giving up to the New York Jets as part of the Sam Darnold deal.

Much will obviously depend on how much of an impact these new recruits make from the word go. This draft might also be defined by Darnold’s production in a more structured environment with an embarrassment of riches at his disposal.

Carolina Panthers could add more free agents before camp.

Carolina might also look to the free-agent market in pursuit of strengthening the roster further ahead of an important 2021 campaign – the second under head coach Matt Rhule. According to Spotrac, the Panthers still have $17.11 million in spare salary-cap space available, although around $10-12 million needs to be reserved to sign their rookie class.

Veteran players might be looking for a short-term deal before the cap soars next year. Considering the stage of the offseason we are at, many are just hoping for an opportunity.

Here are four free agents still on the market that Carolina might turn their attention to post-draft.
