Dynamic players aplenty in Panthers 53-man roster prediction post-draft

Carolina Panthers TEs
- Dan Arnold, Tommy Tremble, Ian Thomas
Since the departure of long-time Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, the position has been a bit of a mess. But Scott Fitterer and Matt Rhule made two moves this offseason to help shore up the position now and into the future.
Dan Arnold was signed after an underrated and impressive season last year with the Arizona Cardinals. His field stretching ability and large catch radius will be huge for Sam Darnold and a Panthers offense that lacked any sort of tight end play last year.
Behind him is 2021 third round pick Tommy Tremble, an uber athletic prospect who was the second best tight end in this class according to some analysts.
Tremble is an elite blocker who plays with tenacity all over the field. He can line up in the backfield or in line and will immediately replace Chris Manhertz. The prospec is young and has untapped potential as a receiver, so he he could become a huge contributor.
Ian Thomas did not take advantage of his opportunity last year to become Olsen’s long-term successor and is a potential roster casualty. The battle between him, newly acquired Stephen Sullivan, and Colin Thompson who Rhule really likes will be an interesting one throughout training camp and the preseason.
