3 bold predictions for the Panthers remaining 2021 offseason

The Carolina Panthers will bring in a veteran free agent at a position of need
With all the moves the Carolina Panthers have made this offseason, signing another quality veteran is unlikely. But that’s what bold predictions are for.
It’s hard to predict exactly who the Panthers could bring in. However, left tackle and safety are probably the two biggest positions of need.
Carolina doesn’t have much in the way of salary cap space left once they sign their rookie class to their contracts. But they could crunch the numbers to make room for another pickup.
As for left tackle, some remaining free agent names that stand out are former Kansas City Chiefs stud Eric Fisher and ex-Chicago Bears tackle Charles Leno Jr.
The Panthers could also opt to bring back remaining free agent Russell Okung, who was solid for them in 2020. Any three of these guys would be an immediate upgrade.
Jeremy Chinn provides stability at one safety spot, but other than him there’s not much to work with. Bringing in a veteran such as recent cap casualty Bobby McCain or former Tennessee Titans star Kenny Vaccaro would go a long way in helping solidify the defense.
Bringing in any of these names listed would be icing on the cake for a great offseason for the Panthers. Whether it’s something they are considering remains to be seen.
