5 most important additions of the Panthers’ 2021 offseason

Haason Reddick – Carolina Panthers DE/OLB
Things did improve on the pass-rushing front as the 2020 campaign wore on. But the Carolina Panthers cannot afford the same lackluster start that cost them so dear in 2020.
This is something that those in power obviously concluded if their activity in free agency was any indication. The Panthers moved quickly to secure the services of Haason Reddick in free agency, with the edge player coming off the finest season of his career to date with 12.5 sacks for the Arizona Cardinals.
Reddick signed a one-year deal which could prove a bargain if he builds on this positive momentum. He’s poised to slot opposite Brian Burns on the defensive front, which has the potential to be one of the league’s best duos if both reach the level expected.
There is a chance that Reddick’s numbers last time out were a one-off.
But the Panthers haven’t paid that much to find out.
Linking Reddick up with his former college coach Matt Rhule is something that obviously played a leading role behind this move. Judging by the increased production of wide receiver Robby Anderson when he did the same, the outlook could be very promising where the Temple product is concerned.
