The Tommy Tremble hype train is growing

One of the players everyone was keen to see on the field during rookie minicamp was Tommy Tremble. There is an immense level of intrigue surrounding the third-round pick out of Notre Dame, who is seen primarily as a blocker but might have more to offer in the passing game than many people think.

Tremble wasn’t given much in the way of targets with the Fighting Irish. Instead, he was used as an H-back to demolish oncoming linebackers at the second level – something he did extremely well.

However, there were some real highlights over the camp during individual drills that might indicate the Carolina Panthers have the complete tight end on their hands with a little more refinement.

Tremble was incredibly assured in catching the football and possesses the athleticism needed to get open quickly should the opportunity arise. Providing there is more development to come across OTAs and training camp, he might just be a real difference-maker from the word go.

His talent, enthusiasm, and aggressiveness are bringing a cult following extremely quickly among the team’s fanbase. Tremble has the sort of attitude that makes him hard not to love and if he matches this by strong production when it matters most, then the Panthers’ search for Greg Olsen’s successor might be over.
