Which young Carolina Panthers players could potentially beat out some established veterans during training camp in 2021?

This is the time of year that is incredibly exciting for NFL fans across the country. Offseason workouts have begun and training camp battles loom large, which will see plenty of competition for places when the Carolina Panthers take the field for team drills, scrimmage, and the welcome return of preseason games.

Those in power have done a tremendous job of bringing the necessary quality into the organization despite the obvious financial constraints. The Panthers have made the odd sacrifice here and there, but a young and talented roster looks to possess plenty going for it ahead of a critical Year 2 under Matt Rhule in 2021.

Established veterans will be nervously looking over their shoulders as first-year players and those still learning their trade look to make the necessary strides for more playing time next season. Complacency is something that crept into Carolina during the final year of Ron Rivera’s time at the helm and it came as no surprise to see a heightened sense of urgency once Rhule agreed to join the Panthers on a seven-year, $60 million deal from Baylor.

Teddy Bridgewater might not think much of Rhule’s methods. But thankfully he was in the minority and the quarterback won’t have to worry about them moving forward after he was traded to the Denver Broncos for a sixth-round pick just before the draft.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at four young Panthers players who could beat out veterans and into a prominent position during camp.
