3 reasons D.J. Moore could be set for bigger things in 2021

Could D.J. Moore take his game to even greater heights with the Carolina Panthers in 2021?
D.J. Moore recently became one of the more notable NFL players to change their jersey number thanks to the recently adopted rule change. After donning the No. 12 his first three seasons in the league, the Carolina Panthers wide receiver will be going all the way back to his little league roots by choosing the No. 2.
Moore told the team’s website that No. 2 was his first-ever number when he got his first football experience at five years old and he believes it’ll be a good investment in the long run.
The former first-round pick becomes the first non-quarterback to wear No. 2 in Panthers history and it shouldn’t take long for him to become the best to wear it.
The competition? Jimmy Clausen.
So yeah, Moore is probably the best Carolina player to ever have the number before even playing a game in it.
Now entering his fourth season in the league, Moore has improved every season and with the number change, it might make him even more poised to have an even bigger year.
Moore has put together two straight seasons of 1,000+ receiving yards with different quarterbacks in each campaign. But the Maryland product has yet to earn a Pro Bowl selection.
That’s something that has bothered him in the past.
The jersey number change might be insignificant, but Moore might be set up for his best season yet. Here’s a look at three reasons why he could be set for bigger things in 2021.
