A more consistent QB (hopefully)

In just his fourth NFL season, D.J. Moore will be catching balls from yet another quarterback. This time, maybe one with more consistency.

Moore has had Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke, Will Grier, Teddy Bridgewater, and P.J. Walker as his starting signal-caller at least once in just three seasons in a professional environment with the Carolina Panthers.

In 2021, Moore will be lining up on the field with his seventh starting quarterback in Sam Darnold. Hopefully, this time, there will be some consistency.

Newton was a shell of his former self in 2018 and Moore was still a rookie. In 2019, the 2015 NFL MVP only played two games but the wideout still managed to put together a 1,000-yard season with Allen and Grier behind the helm.

Bridgewater has never been a deep-ball thrower and Moore still managed a breakout season while splitting snaps with Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel.

With Darnold now in the fold, the jury is still out on whether the former No. 3 overall draft pick can be a franchise quarterback.

In three seasons with the New York Jets, Darnold compiled a 13-45 record and ranked 33rd in QBR last season. However, the talent around him is light-years better than what he had in the Big Apple.

Darnold can throw the deep ball. If he gets clicking with Moore as he did with Anderson in New York, watch out.
