Carolina Panthers RBs

As long as Christian McCaffrey is healthy and firing on all cylinders, the Carolina Panthers are going to be competitive. What was surprising, however, is the team mixed it with some of the league’s very best even without their All-Pro running back in 2020.

McCaffrey appeared in just three games due to various injury problems, which played a significant role in Carolina finishing with a 5-11 record for the second straight campaign. Had the former first-round pick been around for the eight games they lost by one score, things would have been different.

The Panthers can ill-afford their best offensive player missing any more time moving forward, even though Mike Davis did perform well in his absence. He’s no longer around after moving to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, but Carolina moved swiftly in the NFL Draft to find a replacement that comes with a large amount of intrigue.

Chuba Hubbard was taken in the fourth round and comes with some exciting ability that can take some pressure off McCaffrey. Preserving his health is of paramount importance to the Panthers and the former Oklahoma State standout seems like a nice scheme fit that can complement what CMC brings to the table extremely well.

Reggie Bonnafon, Trenton Cannon, Darius Clark, Rodney Smith, and Reggie Bonnafon will also look to stake their claim within a group of which much is expected.
