4 potential future Hall of Famers on the Carolina Panthers
By Will Burns
The Carolina Panthers have a lot of young talent, but which players have the potential to become Pro Football Hall of Famers?
Throughout the years, the Carolina Panthers have never had a true inductee to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Current members Reggie White and Kevin Greene both played for the organization, but their careers were very brief and were better renowned on the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers respectively.
Former Panthers wide receiver and legend, Steve Smith Sr., will likely be the first to be in the Hall of Famer under the Carolina panner. He becomes eligible in 2022 and it’s only a matter of time before he’s inducted.
That being said, with all the young talent on the current roster, the Panthers could have another possible inductee in the future.
It’s impossible to predict how a young player’s career will go, but these selections were based on past performance and potential.
With this in mind, lets take a look at four Panthers players that might end up in the Hfll of Fame one day.
Player No. 1
Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB
This one is based purely on potential because Jaycee Horn hasn’t even played a snap yet. But he may have the most potential on the team.
This also is fitting because Jaycee’s father Joe Horn is a former NFL player who put up some outstanding numbers without ever coming into Canton consideration just yet.
Horn has brought a great mentality so far in his early stages with the Panthers. His alpha-dog approach to playing cornerback will hopefully help mend him into a top player in no time at all.
The former South Carolina stud has everything you want a lockdown corner. To have, speed, size, arm length, ball skills, and man coverage ability are traits that normally end up with a gold jacket one day.
I know it’s ridiculous to have a rookie on a potential Hall of Fame list, but I think Horn’s ceiling just might be this when it’s all said and done.
