4 potential future Hall of Famers on the Carolina Panthers
By Will Burns
D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR
This one is a long shot, but D.J. Moore has proven over his young career that he can perform at a high level no matter who is throwing him the ball.
Without ever having a good passer to throw him the ball, Moore has still put up very good numbers and the Carolina Panthers are hoping this can improve further following their decision to trade for Sam Darnold from the New York Jets.
In three seasons so far in Moore’s career, he has 3,156 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
Averaging 1,000 yards a season is no small feat, and if Moore keeps that up over his career, he could very well end up in Canton if this also comes with team success in Carolina.
Moore has struggled to find the end zone in his young career. But this is mostly due to poor red-zone accuracy from his quarterback and this was prevalent once again in 2020 thanks to a lack of chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater.
If the Panthers find stability long-term with Darnold, Moore’s numbers will definitely benefit.
Getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame is extremely tough. You can have a great career and not get in, and that’ll probably be where Moore ends up.
However, Moore has flashed some Hall of Fame potential so far but will need his signal-caller to come through at some stage to stand a realistic chance.
