4 second-year Panthers players facing a make-or-break 2021
By Dean Jones
Which Carolina Panthers players entering their second season in the NFL could be facing make-or-break campaigns with the organization?
One of the biggest factors where the Carolina Panthers are concerned over the last year has been their reliance on youth. Many inexperienced players were thrown in at the deep end in 2020 as the team completely reshaped not only their roster but the way things were approached under the new coaching staff.
This came with plenty of success for some, while others clearly wilted under the pressure. What comes next for them all will be especially important as the Panthers aim to make strides and even secure a surprise postseason spot next time around.
Coming into the league last year was not easy. The class of 2020 had no rookie minicamp, OTAs were held virtually, training camp was restricted, and there were no preseason games to fully adjust as COVID-19 health concerns gripped the nation.
Thankfully, that will not be the case this summer.
Vaccine rollouts are continuing rapidly and with restrictions being lifted, normality will return and it’s vital those entering Year 2 of their respective careers make the most of it if they want to carve out a successful future with the franchise.
With this in mind, we picked out four second-year Panthers players who are about to embark on a make-or-break 2021 campaign.
