K.J. Wright – LB

Linebacker is another position that the Carolina Panthers can look at improving. The team managed to pick up Denzel Perryman and Haason Reddick, but the organization could still use another linebacker that could start.

K.J. Wright is an easy choice to come and start for the Panthers. He’s a seasoned veteran that has a lot of history with Scott Fitterer. Both spent a significant amount of time with the Seattle Seahawks, and the general manager could get the player for a good price.

During his time with Seattle, Wright racked up 941 tackles, 66 tackles for loss, 11 forced fumbles, and six interceptions. He also managed to start in 140 games out of the 144 he appeared in for the Seahawks.

With his experience as a starter, it’s safe to say that Wright starting for the Panthers would be a no-brainer.

Wright’s veteran leadership could help lead Carolina to a better defense. He had a good relationship with Bobby Wagner and could be a great mentor to Shaq Thompson and others on defense if they chose to go in this direction.

A starting linebacking group of Perryman, Thompson, and Wright could be what the Panthers need to have a good defense.

If I’m Fitterer, I’m calling up Wright soon to get him on the squad.
