The Carolina Panthers have some exciting young players on their roster that can potentially lead them to improvement in 2021. Things were largely encouraging despite a 5-11 record once again last season, but what comes next for a group that will all be developing at the same time is of critical importance.
It was a difficult season in terms of preparation thanks to COVID-19 last summer, so this gave new head coach Matt Rhule even more of a pass when it came to an immediate turnaround in fortunes. Although this will be far from the case next time around, fans can be safe in the knowledge he has the full backing of his players that ensures everyone is pulling in the same direction.
Much will obviously depend on how Sam Darnold performs at quarterback. But if the recent acquisition from the New York Jets holds his own with more in the way of weapons around him, it would be a surprise if the Panthers didn’t make some real strides in 2021.
