Carolina Panthers trade offer No. 3

As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers would need to offer far more than the average team for the Atlanta Falcons to even contemplate sending Julio Jones to a divisional rival.

In reality, no offer would be big enough.

That being said, the Falcons are currently going through a period of transition and this is a crossroads season both for the organization and their former MVP quarterback Matt Ryan.

Atlanta avoided the temptation to select a future signal-caller during the draft – taking a potential generational talent in Kyle Pitts instead – so Ryan will get one more chance to prove there is still much more left in the tank in 2021.

Losing his best-receiving weapon and most trusted target over the years is a bitter blow. But any hopes the Falcons had of keeping the player around now seem gone.

The Panthers are probably on the red list of teams Atlanta wouldn’t pick up the phone for. However, that didn’t put them off Deshaun Watson and if they left a message offering three draft selections over the next two years, then it might make them think twice.

Highly unlikely, obviously. But thinking about a passing game that has Jones, D.J. Moore, Christian McCaffrey, Robby Anderson, David Moore, and Terrace Marshall Jr. is an embarrassment of riches and a mouth-watering prospect.
