Which teams could emerge as potential partners if the Carolina Panthers decide to trade wide receiver Robby Anderson this offseason?

Not having Robby Anderson would be a blow for the Carolina Panthers in 2021. The team has done everything in its power to put the right pieces around their new quarterback Sam Darnold and if they did decide to trade the one wideout he’s familiar with from their time together with the New York Jets, it could have a detrimental impact on his early adjustment.

Anderson decided to skip voluntary OTAs and has removed all Panthers content from his Instagram in recent weeks. This only fans the flames regarding a report from Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball.com that claimed the Panthers were shopping the former Temple star during the 2021 NFL Draft once they took the decision to select Terrace Marshall Jr. out of LSU.

Matt Rhule expected the wideout to be present for both mandatory minicamp and training camp ahead of the new season. But if Campbell”s report is accurate, it is a situation some teams across the league will be monitoring closely.

Carolina Panthers might lose Robby Anderson for nothing next year.

The receiver is heading into the final year of his contract and the Panthers might lose him for nothing next spring when one considers the need to also pay D.J. Moore, Taylor Moton, and cornerback Donte Jackson at some stage.

Getting something in return for Anderson might not be the worst idea in the world, although it’s going to put additional pressure on Marshall and others on the roster if they decide to pull the trigger.

All the trade talk is centered on Julio Jones at the present time. But there might be a market for Anderson for teams that miss out on the iconic Atlanta Falcons wideout.

With this in mind, here are five potential destinations for Anderson if Carolina decides to trade him in the coming weeks.
