Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals appear right on the cusp of something special. They made some notable additions during free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft, which will only help quarterback Kyler Murray as he goes in search of another leap forward and a potential playoff spot in Year 3 under center.

Arizona already has an All-Pro duo on the outside in DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green, but the latter has dealt with some substantial injury problems over the years and is hardly the most dependable when it comes to staying healthy.

This could mean the Cardinals might explore another potential option in a bid to get them over the hump. Robby Anderson would provide something a little bit different thanks to his clear ability to get open quickly, but much will depend on whether the Carolina Panthers get an acceptable offer for a player who could build on a promising first campaign with the franchise.

It’s a big call to make where Carolina is concerned.

They’d be taking on a $4 million dead-cap figure – saving $8 million according to Over the Cap – so whether they feel this money could be put to better use by moving on a player who’ll probably be gone next year is up for debate.

Arizona makes a ton of sense and a wideout quartet of Anderson, Hopkins, Green, and Christian Kirk would be a significant force to be reckoned with.
