Los Angeles Rams

According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Rams are now out of the Julio Jones sweepstakes after taking a good look at the two-time All-Pro. But that doesn’t mean they won’t go after another wide receiver before competitive action gets underway in 2021.

The Rams do have a trio that can make things happen in Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, and Desean Jackson, although the former Philadelphia Eagle is now approaching the twilight of his career.

However, if a player like Robby Anderson became available it would be foolish for LA not to at least test the water to see what the Carolina Panthers want in return.

Matthew Stafford was snatched by the organization from Carolina’s grasp earlier this offseason, so it’s absolutely essential for the Rams to go all-in for major honors while the signal-caller is still performing at a high level.

This trade won’t sit well with Jackson.

But the NFL is a cutthroat business and adding Anderson to two dynamic playmakers in Kupp and Woods would be incredibly difficult to stop.

Los Angeles has already proven more than willing to sacrifice draft picks if they feel it can help them win right now. The Panthers wouldn’t want anything more than a second or third-rounder in return, one suspects. So it might be a risk worth taking.
