New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have been more aggressive than ever before this offseason after missing the playoffs and watching their former quarterback Tom Brady lift another Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during his first season away from the organization.

Bill Belichick will explore a potential trade for Julio Jones judging by past experience, especially if the compensation isn’t a first-round pick as many expect. However, if another team comes in with a better offer then it might cause the Patriots to look in Robby Anderson’s direction should the opportunity arise.

There appears little doubt that Anderson would be an upgrade on anything the Patriots currently have at wide receiver. Providing the Carolina Panthers are willing to deal, this potential trade just might get New England over the hump. Belichick knows full well what the player can do after coming up against him twice a season during his time on the New York Jets.

Former Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will get the chance to start in 2021 and needs to hit the ground running with first-round selection Mac Jones waiting in the wings after a sensational 2020 campaign leading Alabama to a national championship.

Bringing Anderson on board will help their cause enormously and a move such as this is pretty much in keeping with what the Patriots have done throughout the offseason.
