D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

It seems strange that D.J. Moore has yet to receive a Pro Bowl selection after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. But this is a popularity contest more often than not and other wide receivers in the league obviously have larger markets and bigger fanbases than the former first-round pick.

What isn’t up for debate is that Moore sits right on the cusp of greatness.

The Maryland product has worked wonders despite a distinct lack of consistency from the quarterback position, leaving the Carolina Panthers hoping that increased production might be on the way providing Sam Darnold hits the ground running following his trade from the New York Jets.

If Moore can get in the end zone a little more frequently in 2021, then it will elevate him into a completely different stratosphere and among the elite wideouts in the league.

This is a huge season for Moore, who had his fifth-year option picked up by the Panthers this offseason as expected. Another bumper year from a numbers standpoint might see Carolina give the player a deserved extension, which might be a franchise record-breaker for a receiver when it’s all said and done.

Players like Moore don’t grow on trees. His influence is growing with every passing year and providing everyone else around him step up, then another career campaign and a Pro Bowl appearance might not be out of the question.
