Not this might not be classed as stealing a starting spot. But there is a big chance Terrace Marshall Jr. can emerge as a top weapon in the passing game during his first season with the Carolina Panthers.

The organization did not select the former LSU wideout at No. 59 overall to not use him right from the word go. Marshall is still working his way back from injury and was wrapped in cotton wool during the early offseason program in the hope he can truly leave his mark at training camp.

At least from the outside looking in, Marshall is the No. 4 option currently behind D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and free-agent signing David Moore.

But that might not be the case for much longer.

Marshall has all the physical attributes needed to be a real star in the pros.

While the likes of Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase gained more of the spotlight coming from the same program, one cannot be anything but impressed by the impact Marshall made with the targets that came his way.

Nobody will know more about what Marshall brings to the table than Joe Brady, who was his passing game coordinator during the Tigers’ dominant national championship season in 2019.

Whether Brady will be around beyond this season is up for debate. But in Marshall, the Panthers have a player that could become yet another dynamic option for new quarterback Sam Darnold to call upon.
