Josh Norman – Former Carolina Panthers CB

Once considered one of the best shutdown cornerbacks in the business, Josh Norman is still looking for a new home at this stage of the offseason after the Buffalo Bills decided not to bring the player back in free agency.

This is something of a shock considering his production last season, although all anybody will remember from it is Norman getting sent flying by formidable running back Derrick Henry’s stiff arm during a game against the Tennessee Titans.

Norman was a hugely impactful figure for the Carolina Panthers before deciding to take his chances elsewhere and sign an eye-watering deal with the Washington Football Team following a memorable 2015 season.

Things didn’t go according to plan for the player in the NFC East. But things started trending in the right direction once again when Norman reunited with Sean McDermott, who was his defensive coordinator in Carolina.

It’s not like Norman needs the money. The former fifth-round pick has made $71.1 million in career earnings according to Spotrac. So if the right fit doesn’t come his way then the corner will have absolutely no trouble walking away from the game entirely.

Should this eventually come to pass, Norman’s career will always be tinged with a case of what might have been.
