Although the Carolina Panthers have plenty of weapons at the wide receiver position heading into the 2021 season, there is every chance Robby Anderson could be gone next year if he builds on a promising first campaign with the franchise.

This would be the second consecutive free agency that Carolina is forced to part ways with a prolific member of the passing game. Couple this with D.J. Moore heading into the final year of his deal in 2022, and the need for reinforcements might be prevalent once again.

Should the Panthers decide to make a big splash in the trade market, then they could do far worse than look in Cooper Kupp’s direction.

The wideout is among the best and most underrated playmakers in the business. Kupp has the scoop to secure big yardage almost every time he touches the football and his recovery from a serious injury in 2018 leaves plenty of reasons to be encouraged moving forward.

Kupp is still owed a lot of money over the next three years. The Los Angeles Rams have some financial complications upcoming and might see this as an opportunity to get a first-round pick and more back in return.

Adding Kupp to Carolina’s weapons in the passing game is a mouth-watering prospect, even though it might be asking a little too much considering the money involved.
