The coaching staff made a good call by letting Terrace Marshall Jr. go at his own pace during rookie minicamp and OTAs. He is still working his way back from injury and if the Carolina Panthers want to give him the best possible chance of contributing in 2021, they’ll continue to approach this situation with caution.

Matt Rhule is confident Marshall can be fit and firing on all cylinders by training camp. The Panthers roster is still loaded at wide receiver despite Curtis Samuel leaving for the Washington Football Team, so the LSU product needs to turn some heads in pursuit of earning substantial targets.

Marshall has the size, athleticism, and elusiveness to ensure this won’t be a problem.

Carolina got themselves one of the draft’s steals from the outside looking in when they selected the player at No. 59 overall. But it remains to be seen just how much responsibility he’ll get with so many other mouths to feed in the passing game.

There is a lot to like about Marshall, both from a playing and character perspective.

Watching him go throttle at training camp is going to be hugely exciting. And it wouldn’t be the biggest shock in the world to see him emerge as one of the standout performers throughout what promises to be a grueling few weeks.
