K.J. Wright – LB

  • 2020 team – Seattle Seahawks

K.J. Wright’s standard of production has conjured up throughout his career isn’t in question. The linebacker was an integral part of everything good on the Seattle Seahawks from the moment he was drafted in the fourth round back in 2011, which was another tremendous find from Scott Fitterer in his role as director of college scouting.

Wright still looked like someone that could make a lasting contribution in 2020. The Seahawks have stated they might be willing to take him back, but whether the player might desire a fresh challenge entering the twilight of his career. Something that won’t come around again.

This would certainly fill a need for the Carolina Panthers. Outside of Denzel Perryman and Jermaine Carter, they don’t appear to have much in the way of quality depth behind the veteran duo.

Adding Wright would provide cover at a moment’s notice in case Perryman’s troubles staying healthy for a consistent period of time continue in Carolina.

Not only this, the Mississippi State product could bring a winning mentality and experience to a young group that could need this as the campaign progresses.

Providing the price is right, this could be a win-win for the Panthers. Wright has gone over 100 tackles five times during his career and would upgrade linebacker depth considerably.
