Brian Burns – Carolina Panthers DE

A man the size of Brian Burns should not be able to move as he does. The defensive end is physically imposing and comes with explosiveness that is rarely seen. Something that might propel the edge rusher to greatness in 2021.

The Carolina Panthers hit the jackpot when Burns fell to No. 16 in the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s the sort of individual that might have a smile on his face most of the time, but his demeanor changes dramatically once he steps between the white lines.

That is a scary sight for any offensive lineman.

Burns has the ability to crush an opposing player’s spirit. His level of consistency getting to the point of attack was extremely pleasing last time around. Once this comes with efficiency bringing plays to a conclusion, the numbers will be extraordinary.

The former Florida State is heading into Year 3 of his professional career with the loftiest of expectations. Burns appears ready to take that next step into the elite category and true superstardom, which could make a massive difference to Carolina’s young, dynamic defense.

Judging by Burns’ appearance during the offseason, the pass-rusher has been working hard on his body despite undergoing a clean-up procedure. If the Panthers get increased production from the player with far more talent around him, then a surprise playoff spot might not be far behind.
