Spencer Brown – Carolina Panthers RB

Spencer Brown out of UAB is another undrafted free agent that slipped through the net. He has already got the attention from the face of the franchise in Christian McCaffrey, which is a fantastic confidence boost for the running back ahead of camp.

McCaffrey saw a move Brown did in minicamp, and he plans to add it to his own personal arsenal. If an All-Pro running back is looking at you, and using your moves, then the player is doing something right.

At UAB, Brown totaled 4,011 rushing yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, 42 total touchdowns, and 19 100-yard rushing games – all of these stats being school records.

Brown is accompanied by No. 25 overall selection Travis Etienne as the only other active running back with 4,000 career yards. So there is plenty to go off from a talent standpoint.

He is a physical runner that also has great pass blocking ability. At 6-feet and 220 pounds, Brown brings some exceptional power to the Panthers backfield.

Many eyes are already on Brown but anticipate more to go his way at training camp and from reps during the preseason.
