Ranking the 7 best Panthers players under 25-years-old in 2021

- Age – 23
Now one might suspect Jeremy Chinn to be higher on this list judging by his phenomenal rookie campaign. But this is further proof of just how much young talent the Carolina Panthers currently possess on their roster.
There was a real sense of intrigue about what Chinn could bring to Carolina after the team traded up to land the Southern Illinois product at No. 64 overall in 2020. Nobody could have imagined the level of production he’d generate almost from the moment he stepped onto the field.
Chinn was even playing in an unfamiliar position as an outside linebacker after winning the job at training camp opposite Shaq Thompson. This makes his level of performance and consistency even more remarkable.
At a time when the second level was crying out for a sense of urgency in the wake of Luke Kuechly’s retirement, Chinn brought that and so much more in abundance.
His two-touchdown outing at the Minnesota Vikings was historic and one of many memorable moments from Chinn’s standpoint in 2020. He was extremely fortunate not to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and there could be even more to come as the Panthers move him back to his preferred position of safety next time around.
Moving up to draft players comes with some risk. But the Panthers hit the jackpot with Chinn.
