D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

  • Age – 24

It was simply splitting hairs between D.J. Moore and Brian Burns at the top of this list. Both are equally as important as each other to the Carolina Panthers both next season and hopefully long-term.

However, the slight nod went to the wide receiver considering the numbers he’s put up with almost no consistent quarterback play at any stage of his career so far.

Moore recorded another 1,000-yard campaign in 2020 – his second in a row – which is a sensational achievement considering his lack of chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater. Had the pair hit it off a little better, the Maryland product’s numbers would have been extraordinary.

Hopefully, this is something that won’t be a problem moving forward with Sam Darnold. Both players have been working out a lot together at the team facility and on their own, which could reap some instant rewards when it’s time to step onto the gridiron.

If Moore can progress even more and get his touchdowns up in 2021, then it’s going to put him in an incredibly strong position ahead of a potential contract extension. Carolina did pick up his fifth-year option in 2022, but the wideout would be deserving of much more with yet another outstanding campaign under his belt.

Moore is one of the best receivers you’ll find anywhere in the league. The former first-round pick could even enter the elite category if everything goes well next season.
