He has the right size and strength to dominate at the point of attack. Cross also has an aggressive style of play and a violent approach that really caught the eye last season and leaves even more reasons to be encouraged.
The Mississippi State prospect could end up being a top-15 pick with another campaign of progression. Not only can Cross mix it with the most physical edge rushers, but he also comes with potentially elite athleticism and footwork that makes him an extremely difficult proposition to overcome.
If the Carolina Panthers are looking for a college prospect to fill this clear void next year, then Cross should be high on their list of possible options.
He has all the makings of a plug-and-play starter. Providing there are no complications in 2021, Cross will generate a substantial amount of interest both during the assessment process and the draft itself.
