5 Panthers players generating big-time buzz ahead of training camp

Jaycee Horn – Carolina Panthers CB
Although there are some who think the Carolina Panthers should have gone with Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields at No. 8 overall, this does not detract from the excitement surrounding cornerback Jaycee Horn.
The South Carolina product has the potential to legitimize Carolina’s secondary. Horn has all the physical attributes needed to become a star at the position in no time at all, something the Panthers haven’t really had since Josh Norman departed after the 2015 campaign.
Horn left a notable impression on his new teammates during the early part of Carolina’s offseason program. So there’s a huge sense of anticipation to see what the player can do when the pads go on at training camp.
The son of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Joe Horn is bringing a certain swagger to Carolina. Backing this up with solid production matters more, but Horn has everything one looks for in a truly top cornerback at the next level.
Putting him alongside Donte Jackson and free-agent signing A.J. Bouye gives Horn an impressive security blanket in the event some struggles surface in 2021. Of course, this is not uncommon for corners during their initial transition to the pros.
The ceiling could not be higher for Horn, who could be the best cornerback Carolina’s ever had when it’s all said and done.
