Ventell Bryant – Carolina Panthers WR

Ventell Bryant has a massive amount of competition at the wide receiver position. The Carolina Panthers drafted two talented prospects in Terrace Marshall Jr. and Shi Smith as well as picking up the intriguing David Moore from the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.

Bryant does not have many stats to look at. He has one reception, 15 yards, and a touchdown during his career and not a lot else to go off from a performance standpoint at the next level.

This leaves the wideout right on the bubble. Whether Bryant can move away from this and carve out some role for himself is another matter.

Bryant is also facing a two-game suspension at the beginning of the season after violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. This surely does not help his case with making the final roster.

After all, availability is the best ability when it comes to the NFL.

Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer are trending towards building a team on the younger side of the age spectrum. Bryant is only 24 years old and has ties with the head coach from their time together at Temple, which is a big plus and probably why he’s still around.

Bryant’s talent needs to be on full display the entire training camp. He must succeed if he wants to stay on the team.
