Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE

Of all the players brought in by the Carolina Panthers during the 2021 NFL Draft, Tommy Tremble could perhaps become the biggest surprise of all. The third-round pick was highly sought-after by the front office and providing his adjustment to the pros goes as expected, he could play a big role next season and beyond.

Tremble is an elite blocker who finishes off plays with aggressive ruthlessness that is hard not to love. The Notre Dame product has strength and athleticism in abundance, which are traits Carolina sought heavily in their recruitment process throughout their first offseason under general manager Scott Fitterer.

Considering how many weapons the Panthers have in the passing game, including free-agent tight end Dan Arnold, there could be a chance for Tremble to also make his presence felt in this particular area.

It’s hard to gauge just what the player is capable of catching the ball. He wasn’t given many targets during his time with the Fighting Irish, so expecting him to be George Kittle 2.0 right out of the gate is unrealistic.

However, there should be some packages where Tremble can make a difference if the ball skills are there during training camp and the preseason. There will also be a substantial amount of space for the player to work considering the presence of Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and countless others taking up attention.
