Christian Miller – Carolina Panthers OLB

Another player that opposing teams might not see coming is Christian Miller.

The outside linebacker demonstrated some potential during his rookie season in 2019. But any momentum generated was abruptly halted when the player opted out of the previous campaign due to COVID-19 health concerns.

This was something Miller and others across the league were more than entitled to do given the seriousness of the situation. Just how hard the Alabama product worked away from the team will be key to his chances.

Miller also has the unenviable task of impressing a coaching staff that wasn’t around when the Carolina Panthers took him from the college ranks. Not exactly the easiest of tasks for any player lacking any significant experience.

It’s a big challenge, obviously. But nothing Miller isn’t more than capable of.

There doesn’t appear must in the way of quality depth at the second level, so the opportunity is there for Miller to grasp. A strong training camp is absolutely essential for the player and if he impresses, then expect him to become a key part of the rotation.

Teams won’t have much to go off where Miller is concerned. The Panthers should take advantage of this while they can.
