What could the Carolina Panthers potentially offer to meet the reported asking price for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson?

After months of stating the contrary, all signs point to a split between the Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson in the near future. The Carolina Panthers now know what it’s going to take to land the quarterback, who could transform them into instant contenders if an agreement can be reached.

According to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rappaport of the NFL Network, Watson reiterated his desire for a move when he reported for Texans training camp on Sunday and the organization is now willing to field calls from other teams after apparently admitting defeat.

There is the obvious problem surrounding Watson’s legal complications that might put some willing suitors off. But at least from a footballing standpoint, it appears to be a no-brainer for the Panthers despite acquiring Sam Darnold from the New York Jets earlier this offseason.

Christ Mortensen of ESPN reported that two league executives claimed Houston is after multiple high-end draft picks and a couple of talented starters thrown in for good measure. An astronomical amount of compensation regardless of how talented the former Clemson sensation actually is.

With this in mind, here are four potential trade packages Carolina could put together that might meet what the Texans are demanding for Watson.
