Jeremy Chinn – Carolina Panthers S

To say Jeremy Chinn took the NFL by storm in 2020 would be understating things slightly. The athletic prospect from a small college program turned into a dynamic playmaker from his first snap, leaving the Carolina Panthers in no doubt they made the right call by moving back into the second round to acquire the former Souther Illinois standout.

This all came from an unfamiliar position for Chinn, who was utilized primarily as an outside linebacker. He’s set to go back to his preferred position of safety during his sophomore campaign, which could bring about even more from a production standpoint.

Chinn is going to be all over the field. Or at least that’s how the Panthers should use him.

Instinct is a highly sought-after commodity across the league. Something Chinn has in abundance and Carolina must also recognize this by giving him the freedom to move around the field as situations dictate.

Giving Chinn the ability to see more of what’s transpiring from the backend has limitless potential. Seeing how he adjusts to more familiar surroundings is something that’ll be scrutinized at training camp and if he makes a similar or better impact, the sky is the limit.

Chinn should go into the 2021 season with Pro Bowl aspirations. Providing the necessary improvements have been made this offseason and a strong camp follows, there is nothing to suggest this isn’t possible.
