Christian McCaffrey can do it all

Every team would love a weapon like Christian McCaffrey. A game-changing player who can shift the momentum of a contest almost every time he touches the ball.

Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb are your more traditional running backs. And they are very good at it.

But the NFL has evolved to such an extent that McCaffrey is now the alpha and a complete package.

One doesn’t have to look far for proof of just how special McCaffrey is. He has more than lived up to expectations after the Carolina Panthers selected him in the first round back in 2017, carrying this offense for the most part and putting up some elite numbers along the way.

Nobody will ever forget the last time McCaffrey was on the field for a full season. In 2019, he became only the third player in league history to go over 1,000 yards rushing and receiving in the same year, cementing his status on top of the ladder and earning his first All-Pro selection in the process.

Providing there are no further complications when it comes to staying healthy, McCaffrey should revert to type and become a dominant force for an offense in Carolina that has plenty going for it if quarterback Sam Darnold lives up to his end in 2021.
