Terrace Marshall Jr. had a day
Considering how long Terrace Marshall Jr. has been out of action, a little bit of rust was always expected. The Carolina Panthers rightfully took a cautious approach with the second-round pick during the early part of the offseason, which placed a big part in the LSU product being ready to go for the start of training camp.
Marshall has plenty of impressive physical traits to call upon and might end up being a steal when it’s all said and done. Finding his way and judging how much responsibility he’ll have right out of the gate is the biggest factor regarding the player initially.
If it was a mixed day for Marshall on his return to the field, but there was a lot to like about the way he showcased his skills on Day 2.
He made a couple of impressive grabs according to those in attendance, displaying the sort of mismatch ability that could make Carolina’s passing attack even more potent in 2021 and beyond.
This is a baby-step process for Marshall. Carolina and offensive coordinator Joe Brady, in particular, know exactly what the wideout is capable of when push comes to shove.
The odd mistake and off-day are expected. But it’s important to keep the bigger picture in mind when examining Marshall this offseason.
