5 Carolina Panthers players who could join Madden 99 club in future

Brian Burns – Carolina Panthers DE
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Brian Burns has the capabilities to be truly special. His growth from rookie to sophomore was outstanding and if the defensive end can bring his game on even more next season and beyond, the former Florida State star will cement his status as one of the league’s brightest edge rushers.
There are few players operating in the NFL with more explosiveness than Burns. His ability to get off the block and to the point of attack is astonishing and if he can mold this into more sacks, there is little any protection scheme can do to stop the 2019 first-round pick.
Burns could be the second-best Carolina Panthers pass-rusher in franchise history when it’s all said and done.
That’s how great he is.
Having more in the way of help around Burns should also assist the player next season. Carolina’s front seven has a tremendous amount going for it and if everything clicks into place, the Panthers will be a real force.
Burns was not listed in Madden’s top-10 defensive ends this season. However, time is on his side and if the player develops as expected, membership to the 99 club is not out of the question by any stretch.
